We were so thankful so we made "Thank You Poster"

When I got this poster from Yoon mi, I thought "This is a really great way to express our gratitude to our brotherly church. By this, not only can we boast of our strong bond of our friendship but also we can advertise IFI to people passing by the aisle of the church with the familiar picture catching their attention.

Even though we were able to give this poster to the volunteer team about two weeks later after LCC Go Day , because of some technical problems, we were satisfied with this seamless work. I help with some parts of  the word on the poster and Yoon Mi did everything. Thank you "Yoon Mi" for making this great Thank You Poster.

Master life by surrendering your life to Jesus

About 6 weeks ago a group of IFI interns started an amazing journey through a quite intense bible study called MasterLife. It has been a rewarding experience for me as a facilitator to come every week together with six wonderful, beautiful, and godly young women from around the world and travel through Bible books, chapters and verses.

Together we want to learn about what it means to have Christian discipleship as a way of life: "developing a personal, lifelong, obedient relationship with Jesus Christ in which He transforms your character into Christlikeness; changes your values into Kingdom values; and involves you in His mission in the home, the church, and the world." (Masterlife Book 1, Willis & Moore, 1996, p. 5).

Every week we have assignments and we memorize verses. By the end of the study we would have memorized around 25 verses!

Soon one of our dear group members will return to S. Korea after finishing her summer IFI internship. Yoon Mi, may God be with you and impact the S. Korean people for His glory!

Classes+Photos+Receipts= Interns at work!

Classes
We have been meeting with Mike to learn about discipleship using the old testament.
Check out the Good Seed website for free ebooks! Good tools for people influenced by different religions.
We also watched "Ee-Teow!" A tribal village believes God's message of salvation through a study of the OT.

Do you know the order of some Old Testament history?

Photos
The media team worked together to capture photos of the IFI team.

How do receipts get put together?

After the finance team prints out receipts, volunteers and interns fold the receipts and stamp them one by one. Then they are sent to our donors. God's work is teamwork!

Zoo Trip

I like going to the zoo, especially with a bunch of friends.  It was really nice to have some of the interns come along with some of the people from my Bible study.
I always marvel at the creativity of God to make so many different types of animals.  God is so amazing.

Red, White & BOOM! Joining the patriotic spirit! :)

Red, White and … (drum roll sound effect) BOOM! On July 3rd the IFI interns along with Phil Foell’s family got to experience typical U.S. Independence Day celebrations.  With 6 countries represented in our group (Romania, Chile, S. Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, and the U.S.), we joined in the festivities J.

We started with the AEP Independence Day Parade at 6 p.m. It was fun watching different companies, organizations, nonprofits, school bands, and political entities walking in the parade and displaying their patriotic spirit. We even saw a Jesus float! So, we decided the IFI Interns should be parade participants next year! Yeah! J

Then we had a great picnic on the green lawn next to the Franklin County Court House with sandwiches, fruits and veggies, chips and cookies. Delicious!

Around 7 p.m. we headed to the 26th floor of the Franklin County Court House, at the Franklin County Board of Commissioners’ offices. The view of the city from the 26th floor is amazing!

We did a great activity, which was encouraging and gave us a lot of food for thought. We each drew a graph with various high and low points of our lives and we took turns in describing those. It was amazing to see God’s protection and guidance through all of our lives.

Finally, the long-awaited BOOM came with incredible display of fireworks at 10 p.m.! It was a fun and relaxing time.

Bible Tea Fellowship

If you are looking for a multi-cultural, close-knit, and small friendship-building Bible study group, "Bible Tea Fellowship" is the place to be!

Time I spent with them: from 7pm- ? (I think 12am. We played Bang for a while. Btw, games are optional but highly encouraged if you want to get to know the group better.^^) Flexibility is nice!

I didn't find any tea but I certainly enjoyed the singing/worship, Bible discussion, praying time, potluck, and late night games. We watched a clip from a drama about Acts 22 and read it. I liked that the 2 questions George asked us afterwards brought up many discussions.

1. What do you learn about God through this?
2. Application- What does this have to do with my life?

Following the Bible discussion, we split into boy/girl groups and shared and prayed for each other. <3

Testing... :)

"If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." -Jesus (John 8:31-32)
